Vasco Fino
Co-Founder
Vasco has a wide experience in real estate and private equity funds.
Prior to founding Colares Capital, He worked as tied agent on the fundraising of a € 52 million Euro Fund (Nest Capital Fund) from Lynx Asset Managers in 2019 and 2020;
He acted as head of business development of Optylon Capital and later of Optylon Krea from 2015 to 2021 having participated in the origination and structuring of around € 100M+ in real estate investments.
Before that, Vasco started his career as a private equity analyst at ISQ Capital.
He holds a degree in economics and a Master in Management from IE Business School in Madrid.

Albano Costa Lobo
Co-Founder
Albano has an wide experience in investment and company management.
Prior to joining Colares Capital, he worked in one of the largest public traded hedge funds, Man Group with ~$150bn AUM. Albano was part of the investment team of Man GLG in London, managing sustainable equity income and responsible investment hedge fund strategies. The team managed over $600m AUM. In addition, Albano was responsible for managing investors relationships, marketing, and trading for its team.
Before that, Albano worked for W4i, a European Asset Management boutique specialized in equity income strategies. W4i was acquired by Man Group in 2017.
Albano has also worked as a Private Banker at Banco Nacional Ultramarino in Macau and for EY in Madrid.
He holds a Bsc from the IE Business School in Madrid.

Francisco Parreira do Amaral
Partner
Francisco has a strong experience in strategy and business development in the logistics business.
Before joining Colares Capital, he was a senior strategy and business developer at one of the largest logistic players in Portugal, CTT. From 2019 to 2021 he worked closely with the Executive Board in the definition of the company strategy, M&A decisions and business development projects. He also developed a € 10M+ logistics business turnaround project and more recently was developing the largest parcel smart lockers network in Portugal, targeting the set-up of +1.500 lockers.
Prior to CTT, Francisco worked at NOS Telecom and was a senior consultant at Deloitte Portugal, being responsible for several strategy & operations projects in multiple companies.
He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Nova University in Lisbon.
